Ascension RADFx Proximal Radius Fixation Kit

The RADFx system includes four functional components:

  • Radial head replacement implants with 4 stems and 6 head sizes

  • 0.9mm and 1.2mm K-wires for fracture fixation and placement of plates

  • 1.5mm and 2.5mm cannulated compression screws

  • Standard and long radial head fixed-angle locking plates

RADFx Compression Screw System:

The compression screw system can be used in conjunction with the plating system or on its own.
Each compression screw provides for a variable pitch thread that compresses the fracture fragments together providing fixation and compression

The mini 1.5mm screws should be used for smaller fragments and the high compression 2.5mm screw should be used for larger fragments.

Each screw is headless and the screws should be placed below the surface of the bone

RADFx Radial Head Plating system:

The RADFx plate is designed to give the surgeon a great degree of flexibility by providing the option of a fixed angle locking screw and/or a variable angle screw placement.
The plate is pre-contoured to approximately match the radius of the proximal radius. The plate comes in two sizes; standard and long, which will accommodate the majority of patients.

The plate and screws are titanium

The screws come in lengths of 10mm to 26mm in 2mm increments

Plate benders are provided but as this is a fixed angle locking plate exact match to the radius is not necessary.

RADFx Radial Head Arthroplasty system:

In cases of Mason 3 or 4, or if unable to repair you fracture, use the Ascension Modular Head Prosthesis.
