Bipolar Radial Head

The SBi rHead™ Recon bipolar prosthesis is an anatomic design with an element of alignment flexibility. The rHead™ matches the normal proximal radioulnar joint articulation, preserves the annular ligament, and minimizes release for exposure of the important lateral ulnar collateral ligament.

Features:

  • Available in multiple sizes that accommodate the anthropomorphic variations in radial head size.
  • Concave articular surface of the radial head component is designed to anatomically articulate with the convexity of the capitellum.
  • Radial stem is curved to match the intramedullary contour of the proximal radius and can be used with or without cement.
  • Head and stem components are coupled together using a “ball and socket” mechanism
  • Modular to accommodate patient anatomy.
  • Rotational flexibility of this articular design allows correction of angular alignment deformities of up to 10°
  • Allows for radiocapitellar contact through a functional range of flexion and forearm rotation for a spectrum of clinical presentations.
