Smartloops are looped Polyethylene Terephtalate (PET) sutures of diameter 1.2mm, strength of 32kg with a 1.5mm triangular needle.
Smartloops are indicated for fixation of the tuberosities.
Smartloops are packed in a variety kits.
The main kit for fixation of tuberosities consists of 5 suture loops of three colors:
- 1 tension loop (green)
- 2 traction loops (white)
- 2 traction loops (blue)
The 2 suture kit contains two white sutures to be used if the greater tuberosity is in two pieces:
- 1 tension loop
- 1 traction loop
