The Alians Humerus plates are designed for proximal humerus fractures. They combine the following specificities:
- an accurate placement of the polyaxial and fixed-angle locking screws in the humeral head
- unique and easily reachable suture holes allowing effective stabilization of the tuberosities
- an asymmetric anatomical design
- a proximal edge limiting protrusion and thus minimizing impingement of the acromion during the elevation phase
- Proximal locking screws with blunt tip in order to avoid going through the humeral head
- Locking plate with screw polyaxiality of 25°
The ideal placement of the plate is 1.5cm from the proximal edge of the greater tuberosity, avoiding any problem of impingement and alongside the bicipital groove.
Increased oblong hole length to allow for adjustment of plate height.
Optimal proximal screw position with blunt-tipped screws which limits protrusion through the articular surface and allows placement to be as close as possible to the articular surface for a better construct.
Fixed angle divergent screws (targeting the inferior quadrants) and polyaxial locking screws allow optimal position in the humeral head.
