Aptus Hand Plating System

The Aptus Hand system is designed for use on the metacarpals and phalanges.

The plates are anatomical shaped with screws that are either non locking or locking, which are multidirectional and angular stable. Pivoting of the screw in combination with stable plate material is unique in hand surgery.  1.5mm locking system for phalangeal fractures soon available.

The set is fully modular and can be customised for the user.  The implants are titanium which is biocompatible and thus ideal for use as along-term implants.  The many properties of titanium are corrosion-resistant, non-magnetic for better presentation on CT and MRI scans, low weight and high tensile strength and does not spring back after bending.

This complete system allows for management of fractures of the distal, middle and proximal phalanges and metacarpals. The system can be used for all types of hand fractures, transverse, spiral, fractures near joints with or without joint involvement, shaft, comminuted, dislocated and DIP and PIP arthrodeses.
