This NewClip clavicle has optimal anatomically shaped medial and lateral plate designs, which are colour-coded for quick distinction of left and right designs (green - left, blue - right). There are two laser marks, MED (for medial) and LAT (for lateral) to ensure correct orientation of the plate.
The specific feature of Alians clavicle plates is their low profile design(maximum thickness: 2.5mm). They offer a solid locking fixation providing optimal interaxial distance between each compression slot. The implant fatigue strength is thus maximized. The middle interaxial section of the medial plate is positioned above the fracture so as to improve the torsional resistance of the device. Each implant (2 sizes) has a specific curve and a combination of 3 locking, screws on either side of the fracture, thus providing excellent stability.
Lateral plate offers the choice between two surgical strategies:
- Monoaxial surgery: Optimal positioning of the locking screws. Locking screws are pre-oriented for easier and faster surgical technique.
- Polyaxial surgery: The polyaxial technique allows a 20° range of screw trajectories (+/- 10°).
The lateral plate offers a similar specificity to the medial plate in terms of position and torsional resistance and thus there is reinforcement at the junction of the diaphysis and epiphysis.
