The Calcaneous Plate is part of the Normed rearfoot, modular systems which offers a variety of plate configurations for specific indications. The system offers standard and locking screws of 3.5mm diameter. The final plate and screw constructs offer great stability allowing early mobilization. The material is titanium which is biocompatible and has a homogenious passivation layer.
The Calcaneous plate is malleable which allows for easy shaping to thus can be used for different calcaneus fractures. The design of the plate makes transfixation of calcaneus-cuboid-joint possible and for use on either the left or right. It is very low profile with thickness of 1.3 mm. There are 4 sizes available: L, M, S and XS.
The screws are self-tapping with TX-Lock head for optimal torque, power transmission and screw-gripping. The screw head is low profile in the plate with no protrusion.
Within the rearfoot set there is a range of anatomic locking plates which are low profile and designed for specific applications. Plate holes accommodate locking screws for instant stability and standard screws for variable angle fixation. Fixed angle locking screws minimize micro-motion and standard screws allow for variable angle screw placement.
