Titanium Neuro Plating and CranioFlap System
|
|
|
Features:
|
- Titanium:
- Tissue compatible, therefore can remain in the body
indefinitely
- Implants remain chemically inert and corrosion free
even after bending, due to the spontaneously renewing
Titanium oxide layer covering the implants
- Plates can be easily adaptable and contoured to the
bone. Titanium will rebound only minimally after
bending
- X-Rays images are relatively artifact free, unlike
stainless steel
- Modular sets can be customized to accommodate specific
needs
- Simple, exact and quick adaptation of plates and screws.
- System is colour coded for easy identification
|
Plates:
|
-
Small plates with high stability due to their optimal
design
-
Comprehensive plate selection ensures ideal plate-to-bone
adaption
-
Plates shaped to conform to bone profiles
-
Pliable but maintain shape integrity
-
Available in various sizes to meet the requirements
of the
various areas of the skull
|
Screws:
|
-
Screws are self tapping with cross slot
-
Screws are counter sunk in plate and low profile
-
Pick up of screws are with friction fit
|
CranioFlap
Method:
|
|
Step 1:
Mark Incision Line
Drill burr holes
|
|
Step2:
Fix CranioFlap plates to the bone
using self tapping screws. Fix only slightly to mark the
bone where the screws should be placed for final fixation
|
|
Step 3:
Remove screws on
"outside" of flap. Turn plates into centre of
bony segment before incision
|
|
Step 4:
Bony segment is cut and removed
with plates attached
After operation bony segment is
returned, cranioflap plates turned and screws replaced in
original holes.
Method ensures the bony flap is
returned to correct position
