Materials used:

Silicone - has been used extensively in medical devices thanks to its smoothness and elasticity.

Fluoroplastic - material is highly regarded by otologists for its smooth texture - available in white or blue colour.

Stainless steel - steel is corrosion resistant. This grade of stainless steel has a long history in orthopaedic applications.

Titanium - bio-compatibility, weighs less than steel, excellent corrosion resistance.

Gilded Silver - known for retarding bacterial growth.
